Eagles Lead Cowboys at Half, 23-7

The Dallas defense has allowed 292 yards so far today

The Dallas Cowboys have had a pretty rough Thanksgiving so far today as Chip Kelly’s fast-paced offense has the Philadelphia Eagles out to a 23-7 lead at halftime in Arlington.

Philadelphia jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, with a touchdown run by Mark Sanchez and a touchdown pass from Sanchez to Jordan Matthews.

Dallas answered in the second quarter with seven play, 67-yard drive, capped by a one-yard run by DeMarco Murray, to make it a one-score game. It wouldn’t stay that way for long.

Cody Parkey knocked in a field goals of 31 and 22 yards to give the Eagles a 20-7 lead with about a minute left. On the ensuing Cowboys possession, Cole Beasley was stripped by the Philadelphia’s Brandon Boykin, giving the road team another chance for points.

Thankfully, the Cowboys defense held, limiting the Eagles to another field goal after the fumble, but at 23-7, the Cowboys have their work cut out for them over the next 30 minutes.

The Cowboys will get the ball to start the second half.
