Eagles Lead Cowboys at Half, 14-0

On the bright side, the game is pretty much meaningless for Dallas' playoff hopes

In a game that was rendered meaningless with the Giants’ victory over the Jets--meaning that next week’s meeting between the Cowboys and Giants will decide the NFC East--the Eagles are leading a Stephen McGee-led Cowboys team 14-0, at half.

In an opening drive that was frightfully reminiscent of the first meeting between the teams, the Eagles drove down the field and scored on a 13-yard pass from Michael Vick to Brent Celek.

On the Cowboys’ first possession, Tony Romo’s right hand was injured--and by this point, the Giants had defeated the Jets. He has yet to return, and, given the circumstances, most likely won’t. In his place, Stephen McGee went 11 for 14 for 91 yards, but, obviously, Dallas has yet to find any points.

Philly scored again on their final drive of the half on a five-yard pass from Vick to Jeremy Maclin to extend the lead to 14-0.
