Doors, Roof Will Open For The Opener

When Jerry Jones' magnum opus makes it's much awaited debut on Sunday night, it will do so with the retractable doors at each end zone and roof will be agape.

Jeff Caplan of The Fort Worth Star Telegram has reported that Jerry will opt--weather permitting, of course--to open up his fancy new ballfield to the elements.

Over 100,000 people are expected for the game, a Sunday Night Football match-up on NBC between the Cowboys and the Giants; it will be the first time, for any event, that the roof and windows will be open.

The open air feel will give the ultra-technological hellbeast a grain of pastoral charm (insuffiecient, to be sure, if you're given to such delights); however, Jerry has also opened up the debut to the possibility of a drop-in, courtesy of Fan-Man.

The doors are 120 ft by 180 ft, the largest of their kind in the world.

Also: Jordin Sparks--the former American Idol contestant who scored a hit with No Air, a duet with Chris "Five Fingers" Brown-- has been tabbed to sing the Star Spangled Banner before kick-off.
