Donovan McNabb Can't Believe Tony Romo's New Deal

The longtime Eagles quarterback is now an NFL Network analyst

Earlier today, the Dallas Cowboys signed quarterback Tony Romo to a blockbuster extension worth $108 million, $55 million of which is guaranteed. Like most of the rest of us, former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb was quick to take notice--and he seems a little incredulous about the whole thing.

Shortly after the initial reports were published, McNabb tweeted, “Tony Romo 6 yr 55 million dollar extension. Wow really, with one playoff win. You got to be kidding me”.

Of course, the deal was worth a total of $108 million, and McNabb posted a correction shortly after.

Anyway, McNabb’s tweet very predictably stirred things up on the social media site. Obviously, some think the tweet was on the nose while others have responded (seemingly) in defense of Romo, pointing out that McNabb had some shortcomings of his own during his NFL career.

For instance, it's worth remembering that that one playoff victory Romo has under his belt was a wild card round beatdown of McNabb's Eagles--a game that was also McNabb's last in Philly.
