Would cornerback Morris Claiborne benefit from leaving Dallas?

According to ESPN, he might.

The Worldwide Leader compiled a list of the 32 NFL players who most need a change of scenery, one from each team, and Claiborne was given the designation for the Cowboys.

“… The Cowboys made a bold move up in the 2012 draft to take Claiborne with the sixth overall pick. They said he was their highest-ranked defensive back since Deion Sanders,” Todd Archer wrote. “In four seasons, he recorded three interceptions, and has been unable to play a full slate of games, missing time because of a concussion and hamstring, knee and ankle injuries.

“When he played, he was solid, but he could never live up to the expectations of the No. 6 pick.”

The Cowboys opted against picking up Claiborne’s 5th year option last year, meaning he will have a chance to explore free agency this offseason. That said, Claiborne has expressed interest in returning to Dallas.
