Dallas Mavericks forward and noted Cowboys fan Dirk Nowitzki was forced to miss Saturday night’s victory over the Milwaukee Bucks as he was sick. Nowitzki reportedly said he was feeling better on Sunday--that is, until he watched the Cowboys collapse, squandering a 23-point halftime lead at home to the Packers.
“Dirk back at practice Monday after missing Saturday,” wrote Mavs beat writer Eddie Sefko, per the Dallas Morning News. “Said he felt better on Sunday ‘until I watched the Cowboy game, then I got sick again.’”
For what it’s worth, Nowitzki is expected to return for Wednesday’s match-up with the Memphis Grizzlies.
