Diehard Cowboys Fan Chris Paul Visits Camp

Clippers point guard Chris Paul called the visit a "highlight of his life"

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He made that much clear on Thursday, when he and his son, Chris, Jr., dropped by Cowboys camp in Oxnard, CA, just about an hour’s drive from his adopted home of L.A.

I’m like a little kid,” said Paul, who added that he slept on Cowboys sheets in college at Wake Forest, per ESPN Dallas. “I’ve done a lot of good things in my career, but this is one of the highlights of my life. These guys probably have no clue what it means to me. I used to act like I was Ken Norton in the backyard playing middle linebacker.”

As Paul is listed at a generous 6-feet-nothing and 175 pounds (and since he’s become one of the best point guards in the NBA), sticking to basketball was probably a wise decision.

Near the end of practice, Paul was presented with a personalized No. 3 Cowboys jersey by head coach Jason Garrett.

“Just let me know if you need me,” Paul joked to Garrett. “They’ll let me out of my contract.”
