Dez on Quiet Night: “I Just Do as Asked”

Dez Bryant had one catch and was targeted just twice in the loss to the Saints

Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant doesn’t really have a good answer for why he played such a forgettable role in the team’s Sunday night loss to the Saints in New Orleans.

I just do as asked,” Bryant said, per the Dallas Morning News. “That’s what I do. I can’t answer that.”

Bryant had one catch, for 44 yards. He was only targeted twice, as the Saints spent much of the evening bracketing the Cowboys’ No. 1 receiver.

“You just go out there and when your number is called, try to execute the best way you possibly can,” he said. “All I know is it is unfortunate for us tonight.”

Bryant missed a practice last week with a stiff back, but he insisted the injury wasn’t bothering him against the Saints.

“I promise you... ain’t nothing wrong with it,” Bryant said. “I’m fine, man.”
