Dez Doesn't Want to Talk About His Contract

The Cowboys are working toward getting Dez Bryant an extension

The Dallas Cowboys and Dez Bryant are both confident that they’ll work out a deal that will keep Bryant a Cowboy “for life,” as they say. Until that deal gets done though, Bryant doesn’t want to talk about it. He made that clear before talking to the press on Sunday.

Hey, no one ask about the contract,” Bryant said, via Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas. “Just letting y’all know. Now let’s roll.”

Whenever the deal gets done, it’ll probably be huge. Bryant is coming off his first ever Pro Bowl campaign, in which he posted 93 catches, 1,233 yards and 13 touchdowns. Beyond that, he’s become a bonafide leader both on the field and in the locker room.

“It’s pride and confidence,” Bryant said. “You’ve got to play with that. I honestly feel like the best teams do. Now they expect greatness. The thing about that is you’ve got to expect it out of yourself. It’s the only way you can come out here and play at a high level. You’ve got to know that you’re good at something, at least think that you are, and then it’ll happen. It will.”
