Dez Bryant ‘Speechless' Over Fan Who Died in Car Crash

When Irving’s Kassandra Martinez tagged Dez Bryant on Facebook about her late husband, Rudy, and his passion for the Dallas Cowboys, the wide receiver was stunned.

Dez responded, leaving a personal message for the widow's husband.

“To see that post, I was speechless,” Bryant said.  “I had seen videos of him talking about throwing up the 'X' and all that stuff. I almost went to tears.  Because I couldn’t believe this guy [thought] that highly of me.”

Martinez was killed in a car crash early Thursday morning in Dallas.

Wednesday, after Cowboys minicamp practice, Bryant reiterated that message.

“I think it’s extremely special,” Bryant said.
