Dez Bryant Focused on Team Chemistry

Bryant says he wants the Cowboys to be a family

Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant places a lot of stock in team chemistry.

Bryant is coming off his best individual season to date, with 93 catches, 1,233 yards and 13 touchdowns, and was named to his first Pro Bowl. Naturally, Bryant will look to build on that success in 2014 but with less than a month before training camp opens in Oxnard, that’s not where his focus lies.

“I always focus on the same thing, every year--from middle school, high school--and that’s chemistry, building that relationship,” Bryant said, per the team’s official website. “I’m not too big on talent, I’m more on us being a family. You got a family in that locker room, you’re going to win every time. If you lose, you’re going to know that team fought to beat you. That’s what I’m focused on. Team chemistry and us being strong as one.”

Whether some lack of chemistry is to blame or not, Dallas has failed to accomplish anything as a team since Bryant came into the league and, indeed, the young star has still yet to play in a postseason game.
