Deion Says He'll Suit Up for the Pro Bowl

Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice will serve as team captains for the 2014 Pro Bowl

Along with Jerry Rice, Deion Sanders is one of two team captains for this year’s newly-formatted Pro Bowl. Sanders and Rice will pick their teams over two days, playground-style, beginning on January 22nd. On January 26th, the teams will take the field for the game itself, and Sanders apparently has designs on joining his picks on the field.

Sanders tweeted his intentions on Monday, via ESPN Dallas and all sic:

“Ladies and Gentlemen I am officially announcing ‘I WILL SUIT UP IN HAWAII’ Please let @JerryRice know that a real captain leads by example!”

Sanders went on to preemptively point out to Cardinals defensive back Patrick Peterson, a Pro Bowler who wears No. 21, that he might have to make a jersey switch if he ends up on Sanders’ squad.

Once again, all sic:

“@RealPeterson21 u may have to wear another number in the pro bowl for #teamDeion because your Captain may play in the #Probowl! WHAT!!!”
