DeMarco Murray Says He Was “Rusty” Against Giants

Murray ran for 121 yards on 24 carries in Sunday night's win over the Giants

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray went for 121 yards on 24 carries in Sunday night’s 31-28 victory over the rival New York Giants--his 10th 100-plus yard performance in 11 games this season--but he said afterward that, coming off the bye week, he wasn’t at his best.

I definitely felt like I was rusty,” Murray said, per the Dallas Morning News. “I felt that the o-line was a little rusty. They played a good game though. I give those guys credit... I may have missed a few things here and there and we’ll watch the film and get it corrected and see where we go.”

Murray leads the NFL with 1,354 yards on the season and is on pace to finish with close to the rare 2,000-yard mark. But in true Murray fashion, he’d rather talk about how he can be better.

“We’re a little rusty,” Murray said. “We have to knock the rust off after being off for a week. But in the end, we made a couple more plays than they did and we pulled it out in the fourth quarter.”
