DeMarco Murray Returns to Practice

Murray missed the win over the Eagles with a sprained MCL

Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has returned to the practice field, but on a limited basis, after missing the win over the Eagles with a sprained MCL.

Owner and general manager Jerry Jones said earlier this week that he felt there was a “good chance” that Murray would be available for this Sunday’s match-up with the Lions in Detroit, but later added--having been encouraged by Joseph Randle’s performance in Philadelphia--that they’d err on the side of caution where Murray is concerned.

Meanwhile, defensive end DeMarcus Ware remains out with that strained quad. Like Murray, Ware was injured in the win over the Redskins two weeks ago and missed the win over the Eagles. Kyle Wilber, drafted out of Wake Forest in the fourth round of last year’s draft, started in his place.
