David DeCastro Finally Visits Dallas

DeCastro was initially supposed to visit two weeks ago, but the meeting was prevented by storms in the area

Stanford guard, and potential first round target for the Cowboys David DeCastro was originally scheduled to visit Dallas two weeks ago--but due to that bout of thunderstorms in the area at the time, that visit had to be postponed until this week, sources in contact with ESPN Dallas’s Todd Archer said recently.

It’s long been thought that Dallas would go with a defensive player in the first round, either in the secondary or pass rush, but many experts believe DeCastro to be the most surefire interior offensive lineman in recent history.

Wednesday was the final day that prospects could make pre-draft visits to teams. The 2012 NFL Draft is set for April 26th, and will go through the 28th. Dallas, of course, has the 14th overall pick.
