Dallas Releases K Kai Forbath

Forbath never played in a game for the Cowboys

With Dan Bailey taking full ownership of the Dallas Cowboys’ place kicking duties in 2011, Dallas has decided to part ways with kicker Kai Forbath--a UCLA product who suffered through a quadriceps injury in his short time with the team and never played in a game--Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas reports.

After the move, which was announced by the team on Monday, Bailey is now the only kicker on the Cowboys’ roster. The team released David Buehler last month.

An Oklahoma State product, Bailey won the kicking job in his rookie season by going 32 of 37 on field goal attempts, and a perfect 39 for 39 on extra points.
