The Dallas Cowboys missed Miles Austin quite a bit on Sunday.
Austin was held out with a minor hamstring injury suffered in the Week Three victory over the Rams. Dallas used a platoon to replace Austin, comprised of younger receivers Dwayne Harris, Cole Beasley and the rookie Terrance Williams. Williams led that group with 71 yards on seven catches, but he also gave up a costly fumble near the Chargers’ goal line late in the fourth quarter, effectively sealing the loss.
“Miles is a great wideout,” said No. 1 receiver Dez Bryant, who had six catches for 81 yards on Sunday, per the Dallas Morning News. “He’s part of the receiving crew, the brothers. We missed him out there. Hopefully we can get him back next week.”
Added Dwayne Harris, who was held to one catch for 13 yards: “He’s a big part of this team. He’s our No. 2 receiver.”
