Dak Prescott: ‘This is Romo's Team'

I like Cowboys rookie quarterback Dak Prescott because of his poise on the field, his work ethic and now I'm a bigger fan because he is using common sense.

While some fans and media (including a Hall of Famer and a future Hall of Famer) want Tony Romo sent to the bench permanately, the Cowboys rookie is saying the right thing.

"This is Romo's team. I've said that from the moment that I was named the starter and he went down," Prescott said at a Cowboys rookie club event. "I'm just trying to do my best to win games and put this team in a successful position to do that week in and week out and when he comes back I'll leave that up to the big guys."

Cowboys rookie quarterback Dak Prescott addresses the talk of a possible quarterback controversy once Tony Romo is healthy.

The unwritten rule in the NFL is that a player doesn't lose his job to injury.

Romo should NOT lose his job to Prescott.  His work through the years has earned him the right to play when he is healthy.

More importantly, the owner and head coach say Romo is still the Cowboys starting quarterback.

Give Prescott credit for making the veteran move and staying above the noise the fans and media want to create about who should or should not be the Cowboys starting quarterback.
