Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott has been getting to know the Dallas Cowboys quite well over the last month and a half.

First, Prescott was a member of the South team in the Senior Bowl that was coached by Jason Garrett and the Cowboys’ staff, including offensive coordinator Scott Linehan and quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson. Then this week, Prescott met with Wilson again at the Combine in Indianapolis.

While Prescott has said he grew up a Cowboys fan, these meetings have been all business.

"Coach Wilson just [talked] about what they expect me to do if I come in there, if it's to be in the backup role behind Tony Romo, how do I plan on approaching it and then just talking ball, so they've been very productive meetings," Prescott said, per the Dallas Morning News. "He told me their picks and told me that they're thinking about getting a quarterback with one of those picks.

“He was saying that if I work hard, things maybe could work out."
