Crabtree “Can't Wait” for Season Opener at Dallas

San Francisco 49ers receiver and Richard Sherman’s arch nemesis Michael Crabtree was back home in Dallas over the weekend, to host his football camp. In just a few months, he’ll be back, to open the 2014 season against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.

Suffice to say, Crabtree is pretty fired up for the chance to play in front of friends and family in North Texas.

Dallas. I’m excited. Can’t wait,” Crabtree said, per the San Jose Mercury News. “I’m bringing the whole army with me. We’re going to have fun. It’s going to be a party.”

The Cowboys and 49ers haven’t met in the regular season since 2011, a 27-24 Cowboys win in which Tony Romo played through a fractured rib to put up 345 yards and two touchdowns.

Frank Gore, who went for 47 yards and a touchdown in that meeting, was one of Crabtree’s 49ers teammates who joined him in Dallas.

“It’s great,” Gore said. “Hopefully we do what we do best, win, and start the season out right.”
