Cowboys Will Let Dez Decide Whether To Return Or Not

We learned this week that Dez Bryant is dealing with a fractured finger

Keeping with the season-long theme of potentially devastating injuries, we learned on Monday that wide receiver Dez Bryant had suffered a fractured left index finger, leading to reports that he could be done for the rest of the season--but maybe not.

Jerry Jones told 105.3-FM “The Fan” on Monday that Bryant could remain in the lineup if he opts to hold off on surgery and simply wear extra padding on the finger. But Dallas won’t pressure the third-year receiver--who is having a Pro Bowl-caliber season in 2012--either way, saying that he’ll make the “ultimate decision”.

Jerry added, though, that Bryant wants to return.

"I know he wants to play," Jones said, per ESPN Dallas. "Dez will be the ultimate decision-maker on surgery or playing with some kind of padding.

"Make no mistake about it. Dez is champing at the bit and wants to take the route of playing."
