The Cowboys welcomed prospects with local ties to Valley Ranch last Friday for Dallas Day, and some fairly big names were mixed in among the 35 players present, all of whom played either high school or college ball in North Texas.
Alabama defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson, LSU safety Jalen Mills and Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams all fit that criteria, and all attended Dallas Day—as did Texas Tech receiver Jakeem Grant and TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin.
TCU receiver Josh Doctson and Baylor’s Corey Coleman did not attend because they were busy with other official pre-draft visits.
Past Dallas Day participants who went on to play for the Cowboys include Cole Beasley, Tyler Patmon and Lance Dunbar.
Visits on Dallas Day do not count against the 30 allotted official pre-draft visits the Cowboys (and every other team) are afforded by the league.
