Cowboys Welcome Josh Brent Back

Brent was allowed to return to Valley Ranch on Monday

Just as Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said, suspended defensive tackle Josh Brent was back at Valley Ranch on Monday after his suspension was modified so as to allow him to attend team meetings and work out at team headquarters  two weeks earlier than originally scheduled.

Since his return, the Cowboys players have welcomed Brent back with open arms.

The growth is there. Just from conversations, he’s on a different level right now,” said cornerback Brandon Carr. “His head is in a different spot, and I’m looking forward to having him back in the locker room, having him back on the team and hopefully helping us make some plays out there on the field.”

According to linebacker Bruce Carter, Brent looks ready to help Dallas make some plays when he is eligible to return to game action in Week 10.

“He looks good,” Carter said. “He looks like he’s in shape. You know he’s got a smile on his face. He’s got a great spirit to him, and I think that’s going to be good for our team, especially on our defense.”
