Cowboys Welcome Back LB Justin Durant

The Dallas Cowboys will be without the services of linebacker Rolando McClain for the first 10 games of the season after he was suspended by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. To help fill that void, the Cowboys signed linebacker Justin Durant to a one year deal.

This is Durant's second stint with the Cowboys. He was starter for the club during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Durant left the Cowboys to sign with the Atlanta Falcons last season where he started 12 games and racked up 82 tackles, that was good for second most on the team.

Durant does have a history of missing games, but the Cowboys believe Durant can help this team when he is on the field. He has the ability to play all three linebacker positions, something that Jerry Jones is impressed with.
