Cowboys Trail Vikes At Half, 17-3

After an ugly start, the Dallas Cowboys find themselves down 14 at half in Minnesota, 17-3.

Protection for Tony Romo has been scarce, with the Dallas quarterback being sacked four times and fumbling thrice, two of which were lost. Flozell Adams going down with a strained calf certainly didn't help matters, and to say that the first half was all Minnesota would be no stretch.

The final play of the half, fittingly, was a sack of Romo for a loss of 16-yards, which ended with Romo sliding.

Brett Favre has hit Sidney Rice for two touchdowns, and Ryan Longwell added a 23-yard field goal to account for Minnesota's first half onslaught. Dallas, despite moving the ball effectively, has been able only to muster a 33-yard Shaun Suisham field goal. Suisham went 1 for 2 for the half.
