Cowboys Slide to 30th in Power Ranking: Take That, Buffalo Bills!

After the Dallas Cowboys were whipped mercilessly by the Green Bay Packers last Sunday night to the tune of a 45-7 final score, NBA superstar, sneaker salesman, pariah and Cowboys’ fan LeBron James Tweeted that his favorite team was the worst team in football, worse even than the winless Buffalo Bills.

ESPN’s power rankings don’t quite agree with this statement, but it’s close and getting closer. The Cowboys came into week nine ranked 29th in the league according to the Worldwide Leader, and after the Packers delivered a series of devastating punches to the already bruised gut of Cowboys’ nation, they fell to 30th.

Dallas, according to the rankings, are only better now than the Carolina Panthers and those aforementioned Bills, and slightly worse than the also-sliding, also-miserable Denver Broncos. Of course at 2-6, the Broncos have twice as many wins as the Cowboys, and this might explain their enviable (for the Cowboys) position in the power rankings.

So there you have it, Cowboys fans. If you see a Panthers’ or Bills’ fan, we give you permission to heckle them mercilessly--it might make you feel better.
