RB Lance Dunbar, P Chris Jones Sign RFA Tenders

The Dallas Cowboys announced the moves on Tuesday

In a move that won’t make any headlines, the Dallas Cowboys signed running back Lance Dunbar and punter Chris Jones to one-year, non-guaranteed restricted free agent tenders on Tuesday. The deals are worth $1.542 million each.

A UNT product, Dunbar has spent three seasons with the Cowboys since coming in as an undrafted free agent in 2012.

He appeared in all 16 games in 2014, but finished with just 99 yards on 29 carries, and 217 yards on 18 receptions. He still has yet to score an NFL touchdown.

Jones is entering his fifth season with the Cowboys, and has a net average of 40 yards per punt over that span.

Last year, his net average was 39.8 yards a punt, and he pinned opponents inside their own 20-yard line 21 times.
