The Dallas Cowboys signed QB Jameill Showers (Texas-El Paso) to their practice squad on Monday. He went unclaimed on waivers.
Showers spent most of training camps as the backup to Dak Prescott after Kellen Moore went down.
The Cowboys host the Giants Sunday in Arlington.
