After a valiant effort against the Packers in Green Bay, the Dallas Cowboys’ season came to an end on Sunday with a 26-21 loss in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

The Packers jumped out to a 7-0 lead on their first drive with a four-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers to Andrew Quarless.

The Cowboys answered with a 62-yard drive, capped with a one-yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo to fullback Tyler Clutts, and took a 14-7 lead with a 38-yard catch-and-run from Romo to Terrance Williams. Romo finished 15 of 19 for 191 yards and the two touchdowns.

Dan Bailey missed a 50-yard field goal attempt with about 30 seconds left in the half, and Green Bay’s Mason Crosby hit on a 40-yard attempt to close the half with the score at 14-10.

Crosby added a 30-yarder to open the second half to close the Green Bay deficit to one, at 14-13.

The Cowboys answered with a six-play, 80-yard drive, capped by a one-yard touchdown run from DeMarco Murray, but that’d be all the scoring Dallas could manage.

Rodgers hit Davante Adams for a touchdown late in the third and Richard Rodgers early in the fourth to give Green Bay the 26-21 lead and, as it turned out, that would be enough. Rodgers finished 24 of 35 for 316 yards and three touchdowns.

The Cowboys appeared to be on the verge of making a comeback when Romo hit Dez Bryant on a 31-yard pass that would’ve given the Cowboys a first-and-goal at Green Bay’s one-yard line, but the officials reversed the call on replay in what will surely be the most talked-about call of the offseason.

Bryant finished with three catches for 38 yards. Murray went for 123 yards and the score on 25 carries.
