Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain has been suspended without pay for the first 10 games of the season for once again violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, the team says.
NFL insider Adam Schefter first tweeted the news about an hour before.
McClain started the 2015 season with a four game suspension for the same violation. He'll be eligible to return to the active roster on Nov. 21, but will be allowed to participate in all preseason practices and games.
The NFL also denied defense end DeMarcus Lawrence's appeal -- he'll remain suspended for four games for a similar violation, according to Todd Archer.
Lawrence will return to the active roster on Oct. 3 and is also allowed to participate in all preseason practices and games.
Earlier in the day, the league also suspended quarterback Johnny Manziel for four games for violating the substance abuse policy. Manziel currently doesn't have a team and the suspension does not go into effect until he signs with a club.
