In Norman, Wilson established himself as one of the most statistically proficient receivers in school history, catching 105 passes for 1315 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2006 draft.
After being released by Cleveland as a part of final cuts in August of 2008, he joined the Broncos practice squad, before being quickly released.
Wilson was signed by Dallas in October of that year, when Mike Jefferson was suspended, and has remained a member of the practice squad since.
Ultimately, this release won't much affect the Cowboys' situation at the wide receiver position. Wilson has only appeared in four games since entering the league in 2006, in which he has recorded 2 catches for 32 yards and no touchdowns.
