Cowboys Re-Sign Procter

The Dallas Cowboys have come to terms with guard/center Cory Procter on a one-year deal, ESPN reports.

Procter, a backup center and guard, has been with Dallas since 2005, when the team picked him up off the Detroit Lions' practice squad. He started 11 games in 2008, after starting left guard Kyle Kosier went down with a foot injury.

Procter saw limited time in 12 games last season.

Off the field, Procter is the drummer for the metal act Free Reign along with teammates Leonard Davis and Marc Colombo. The three were recently nominated for "Most Metal Athlete" honors at the Revolver Magazine Golden Gods Awards.

This is the first stirring of any sort this off-season for the Cowboys, begging the question: is there more to come?

Judging by the first three weeks of free agency, we'll guess no.
