Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Featured on Sports Illustrated Cover

Back in May, the news of a Dallas Cowboys quarterback being featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated wouldn't have been surprising.

Rookie Dak Prescott being that quarterback probably would have.

Prescott probably wasn't even the Cowboys' top choice at quarterback in the 2016 NFL Draft. They picked Prescott after reportedly missing out on trading up for Paxton Lynch, now in Denver, and Connor Cook, picked by the Raiders.

So far, though, Prescott appears to have been the best pick for them. In his first five NFL games, he's passed for 1,239 yards and 4 touchdowns against 0 interceptions.

More importantly, he's helped lead the Cowboys to a 4-1 record.

"It’s like he’s not even a rookie," Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley told SI's Pete Thamel. "It’s like he’s a five-year vet."
