Cowboys Players, Coaches Will Meet For Charity on Sunday

With the lockout in full effect, players and coaches are prohibited from having contact with one another, but this rule will be relaxed for a few hours at the Glass Cactus, at the Gaylord Texan, which will serve as the site of the seventh annual Taste of the NFL: The Ultimate Cowboys Tailgate Party on Sunday.

Hosting the event will be linebacker DeMarcus Ware and former running back Preston Pearson, who had over 3,000 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns over a 14-year NFL career. In addition to these two, any number of Cowboys players and coaches, former and current, are expected to attend.

The night will benefit the North Texas Food Bank, and, because it is an annual NFL charity function, the league will relax the rules prohibiting contact between players and coaches between 6:30-9:30 PM on Sunday night, the duration of the party. The event is 21-and-up, but is open to the general public.

Fans can get tickets at ntfb.com or at the door at the Glass Cactus.
