Cowboys Part Ways With Asst. Strength & Conditioning Coach

Walt Williams spent two seasons with the team

Cowboys’ assistant strength and conditioning coach Walt Williams, who you may remember as the guy who would lead the team’s pre-practice stretching drills, will reportedly not be back in 2013 after spending two seasons with the team, ESPN Dallas.com reports.

This is just the latest, though admittedly the least noteworthy change in the staff so far this offseason, following the team’s second consecutive 8-8 season.

The Cowboys suffered a rash of devastating injuries in 2012, losing five defensive starters to season-ending injuries, as well as slot corner Orlando Scandrick--who went down for the year with a broken hand on Thanksgiving Day. On the offensive side of the ball, running back DeMarco Murray missed six games in the middle of the season with a foot issue.
