Home sweet home?
Not so much for the Dallas Cowboys this year.
The Cowboys are 7-0 on the road, after defeating the Eagles in Philadelphia last week. At home, they’re just 3-4, leaving fans and players alike perplexed as to why the team has so struggled in Jerry Jones’s $1.2 billion shrine to football and excess.
“I don’t have a good answer for you,” quarterback Tony Romo said this week when asked about the team’s struggles at home, via the team’s official website. “More than anything, you just go and do all of the things that it takes to win.”
According to Romo, up until the Thanksgiving Day debacle, the crowds at AT&T Stadium had been good, and loud. He added that he fully expects the building to be electric once again on Sunday.
“You could really feel the energy, excitement and just the passion behind the fans and I expect to see that again this weekend,” Romo said. “I think it’s going to be a real special place. And everyone who is at that game, I think it’s going to be loud.”
