Cowboys Lead Rams At Half, 17-7

After one half of football at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington today, the Dallas Cowboys are ahead of the St. Louis Rams 17-7.

The Cowboys took the lead early in the first quarter, with a 91-yard touchdown run from rookie running back DeMarco Murray. After safety Abram Elam forced a fumble out of St. Louis’s Cadillac Williams late in the first frame, Jason Witten would catch a one-yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo to extend the lead to 14-0.

Dallas forced two turnovers--the fumble, and a Mike Jenkins interception--for 10 points in the first half.

The Rams got on the board on their next possession following the Witten touchdown, with a six-yard touchdown run by Stephen Jackson. Jackson, a rare bright spot for the Rams, finished the half with 59 yards on 12 carries.

Following the aforementioned Jenkins pick, Dallas’s Dan Bailey added a 30-yard field goal to extend the lead to 17-7 Dallas, where we stand at half.
