Cowboys Lead Philly 27-7, At Half

Aside from a 74-yard touchdown pass from Michael Vick to Jeremy Maclin--a play on which Mike Jenkins fell in coverage--Dallas Cowboys fans have had little to frown about here tonight in Arlington.

The Eagles' sole strike came just three plays after Tony Romo hit rookie tight end John Phillips in the end zone to stake a seven-point lead, a play set up by a big pass interference call on Sheldon Brown which set the Cowboys up on the one. With the score tied at sevens after the Philly score, what has, to this point, been a pivotal drive began on the Dallas 15.

After an interception call was overturned on challenge, Romo drove Dallas 70 yards to the Eagles' one. Tashard Choice's one-yard touchdown run gave Dallas the lead once more, and the haven't looked back. Shaun Suisham is currently 2-2 on field goals, his first a 25-yarder with around three minutes left in the half.

Vick fumbled a snap, giving Dallas the ball on the eighteen on the ensuing Philadelphia drive. Romo hit Austin three plays later to give Dallas the 24-7 lead. Still, they were not done.

After Bradie James forced Eagles' fullback Leonard Weaver to fumble, Dallas drove into Philadelphia territory with time on the game clock waning. Suisham added his second field goal in as many tries on the night, a 48-yarder, to give Dallas a 27-7 halftime lead.
