Cowboys Lead The NFL In Facebook “Likes”

The Dallas Cowboys have a little over 4 million fans on the social network

The Dallas Cowboys haven’t hoisted the Lombardi Trophy since the Clinton administration, but that apparently hasn’t done all that much to affect their popularity.

We regularly see this reflected in the value of the franchise (if memory serves, it’s around $1.2 billion at last count) and merchandise sales, and now, thanks to Yahoo!, in the amount of “likes” the team has gotten on Facebook.

According to the article today, which was spurred on by the Los Angeles Lakers recently hitting 11 million “likes”--the Lakers are the most “liked” American franchise on Facebook--the Cowboys lead the NFL with a little over four million Facebook fans, followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots and reigning NFL Champions, the Green Bay Packers.

In case you were wondering, the least “liked” team in the NFL is the Jacksonville Jaguars, with fewer than 230,000 online supporters.
