Cowboys Lead Giants At Half, 7-3

Dallas has a four-point lead at intermission in East Rutherford, New Jersey

After thirty minutes in the Meadowlands, the Dallas Cowboys are leading the Super Bowl Champion Giants by a score of 7-3 at half.

In what has been a defensive game, Lawrence Tynes opened up the scoring in the 2012 NFL season with a 22-yard field goal in the second quarter--finishing a drive that began when Michael Boley intercepted Tony Romo. Dallas took the lead with a little over a minute left in the half, as Romo capped a seven-play, 73-yard drive with a touchdown pass to Kevin Ogletree.

Ogletree, who begins the year as the Cowboys’ new No. 3 receiver, finished the first half with five catches, 47 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Romo is 11-15 for 130 yards with the interception and a touchdown.

Neither team has been able to muster much offense on the ground, as the Giants and Cowboys combined to gain just 51 first half rushing yards.

At half, it’s Cowboys 7, Giants 3.
