Cowboys Lead Bucs at Half, 6-3

The Cowboys are looking to snap a six-game losing streak

After 30 minutes in Tampa, the Dallas Cowboys are leading the young Buccaneers, 6-3.

The Cowboys’ Dan Bailey got the scoring started with four minutes remaining in the first quarter, with a 42-yard field goal. Tampa Bay answered in the second with a 52-yarder from Connor Barth, but the Cowboys got back on top with a 53-yarder from Bailey, which made it 6-3.

Bailey missed a third attempt.

In what will likely be his last start of the season, Matt Cassel is 12-of-16 for 101 yards, no touchdowns and no picks. Darren McFadden is leading the team in rushing with 28 yards on 10 carries, and Dez Bryant leads all Cowboys receivers with 41 yards on four catches.

Bucs’ rookie quarterback Jameis Winston is 7-of-16 at the half, for 56 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. He has been sacked twice.

The Buccaneers will take the kick to start the second half.
