Cowboys LB Justin Jackson Suffers Torn ACL

Jackson was hurt during a morning walkthrough session on Saturday

The Dallas Cowboys may be in the market for some linebacker depth after losing Justin Jackson for the season to a torn anterior cruciate ligament during a practice session on Saturday, the Dallas Morning News reports.

The injury to Jackson, who signed with the team back in June, leaves the Cowboys with nine healthy linebackers on the active roster. Starting middle linebacker Rolando McClain and rookie Mark Nzeocha are already on the PUP list.

Jackson has spent time with the Detroit Lions, the Washington Redskins and the Oakland Raiders but has yet to officially appear in an NFL game. The Wake Forest product was a college teammate of Cowboys’ fourth-year linebacker Kyle Wilber.
