Cowboys Hopeful McClain Will Return After Bye

Rolando McClain was held out of Sunday's win with a sprained MCL

Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain was held out of Sunday’s 31-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars with a sprained MCL, but the team is hopeful he’ll be ready to go when they come off the bye week against the New York Giants next week on Sunday Night Football.

McClain, who suffered the injury in the loss to the Arizona Cardinals, was replaced in London by rookie Anthony Hitchens, who played well, recording nine tackles.

Oh it’s always good when you can get guys rested up going into the bye week,” Hitchens said, per the Dallas Morning News. “It was good for our team and hopefully he’ll come back healthy and ready to go.”

McClain has 44 tackles, a sack and two interceptions on the season.
