Cowboys Give LG Ronald Leary Second Round Tender

Leary was the Cowboys' starting left guard until La'el Collins came along

Dallas Cowboys left guard Ronald Leary lost his starting job during the 2015 season to rookie La’el Collins after starting there for two seasons, but the team apparently still sees Leary as a part of their future.

Per David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, Leary received the second round restricted free agent tender, which will pay the University of Memphis product—who, like the man who replaced him, came to the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent—$2.553 million.

That means any team who ultimately got Leary would have to give up a second round pick for him, and the Cowboys will have a chance to match any offer.

Safety Jeff heath received the $1.67 million tender offer.
