The Dallas Cowboys and Ford Motor Company announced a sponsorship and naming rights that will have the team's new headquarters and training center in Frisco be called the Ford Center at the Star.

The 90-acre development will include an indoor stadium that seats about 12,000 people. Athletic programs within Frisco Independent School District will also play at the facility.

"This partnership with Ford Motor Company and the North Texas Ford Dealers will take this facility to the next level," said Cowboys Chief Operating Officer Stephen Jones in a statement Friday."The Cowboys are thrilled to continue this next chapter with our friends at Ford."

For Frisco ISD schools like Lone Star High School, Friday night lights will have a whole new meaning.

"We both have juniors this year, so our boys will be able to play there their senior year," said Linda Lesner.

Lesner and her friend, Heather Shelton, both have kids on the Lone Star varsity football team.

"It's so pretty, we can't to play there next year," said Shelton.

The facility includes the main practice field, retail and office space and a hotel. The city of Frisco and Frisco ISD are paying $90 million in exchange to use the facility.

"The Cowboys are America's team and the Ford brand is America's best-selling vehicle brand," said Greg Wood, Ford's regional manager for the Dallas area. "That's the perfect match."

Construction is expected to be complete in late summer 2016 at the conclusion of Cowboys Training Camp in Oxnard, Calif., and in time for the high school football season.
