In their pursuit to be not only America’s Team but Techology’s Team, the Cowboys are again pushing the virtual envelope with their new partnership with StriVR Labs. It’s a virtual reality company, with state-of-the-art technology that will allow players “re-live” their performance on the practice field from a unique perspective.
The Cowboys are advancing so fast they’ve added a new room for the 3-D system at Valley Ranch, and players will soon begin wearing virtual reality headsets in team meetings while they watch film of practice, shot from a stationary camera behind the line of scrimmage that provides a 360-degree view of plays, complete with sound.
After some colleges tinkered with 3-D last season, the Cowboys are the first NFL team to sign up.
