Cowboys Excited For Their Part in NFL's Return to Los Angeles

The Cowboys will open the preseason against the Rams in L.A. on August 13

The preseason is the preseason, but the Dallas Cowboys are apparently pretty excited to be the first team to play the Rams in their new (and old) home in Los Angeles.

The Cowboys will open the preseason against the Rams at the L.A. Coliseum on August 13.

"It's definitely an exciting opportunity," said Cowboys center Travis Frederick, per Scout.com. "It's a chance to play in front of a new crowd and a new city. You know there's a lot of energy throughout that game. Obviously there's a lot of talk about it throughout the NFL. So, it's going to be a great platform for us."

The two teams practiced against each other in training camp last year but had to knock it off after multiple fights broke out. To the surprise of few, they did not schedule any joint practices for training camp this year.

"It's a great opportunity for our team," said head coach Jason Garrett. "We're out there before training camp and Oxnard. It will be an exciting day for us to be out in the Coliseum and play the Rams in their first game back in Los Angeles."
