On Tuesday, the Dallas Cowboys swapped one defensive tackle for another, continuing the season-long game of musical chairs going on within that group.
According to the report in the Dallas Morning News, the team let Jerome Long (pictured) go and signed former Colt and Charger Drake Nevis.
Long, who was among the teamβs final cuts in camp, was brought back the day before the season opener and saw 46 snaps over the teamβs first three games. Long was a seventh round pick by the Chiefs in 2012 and spent parts of last year with Kansas City and Jacksonville.
Nevis was a third round pick by the Colts in 2011, and spent two seasons with the team before being released earlier this month. He caught on with the Jaguars shortly thereafter but was cut last week.
