Cowboys in Indy For 2011 Combine

With the NFL Scouting Combine officially starting Wednesday, a good many of the Cowboys coaching staff and team of executives are in Indianapolis--and many have been for some time.

ESPN Dallas reports that vice president Stephen Jones for example, a member of the league’s Competition Committee, has been there for nearly a week.

The combine, of course, gives teams a chance to watch the 300-something players in attendance work out--and, more importantly, interview them in 15 minute sessions, which take place each night after the workouts are over.

Head coach Jason Garrett is scheduled to speak to the media Thursday for the first time since he was introduced as the Cowboys’ head coach in January.

Many have wondered whether Jerry Jones, who has not spoken publicly since the seating debacle at Super Bowl XLV, will speak as well; he traditionally addresses the media at the combine to discuss the team’s needs and give some indication of the team’s thoughts going into the draft.

The combine runs through March 1 (next Tuesday). Blue Star will have all the news emerging from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy--or at least the news that pertains to your Dallas Cowboys.
