Cowboys Announce Partnership With Reliant Energy

In a joint press release today, the Dallas Cowboys have announced a new partnership with Reliant Energy, through which Reliant becomes one of the team’s major sponsors and the sole provider of electricity for Cowboys Stadium.

"We power America's Team and the largest domed stadium in the world. It's an exciting time for us," said Jason Few, Chief Customer Officer of NRG Energy and President of Reliant. "Reliant's customized solutions will help meet the electricity needs of the Cowboys. We have a true partner in the Cowboys and look forward to working hand-in-hand with the team, coaches, staff and fans to make a real difference in the community."

Cowboys fans will have a chance to win prizes as a result of the new partnership, too. According to the release, Reliant has created β€œa unique electricity plan with competitive pricing for fans and monthly chances to receive autographed merchandise, tickets and exclusive access to Cowboys special events.”

In addition to all this, Reliant will purchase renewable energy credits (RECs) to ensure that the gameday use of electricity at Cowboys Stadium is matched by electricity created by renewable sources within the state of Texas.

"Reliant is not just an energy provider to us, they're part of the team," said Jerry Jones. "The company provides an unmatched level of service and commitment to the community that runs deep, just like ours. We're proud to do business with them and anticipate great things."
